PRESEASON POWERHOUSE

As the regular season is almost underway for the varsity team, they will prepare for the season with a few preseason games. In a preseason match versus the West York Bulldogs, the Patriots showed the skill needed to be a dominant force in the upcoming Tier I season. Off to a rough start, with only a few shots on goal in the first period, the squad managed to score once, on their 3rd shot. From then on, the game seemed to lean in favor of Red Land, capitalizing on chances caused by low shots on net, a point which will be stressed this season. Red Land's breakout, which is a major portion of practices, was effective this game, as well as the team's defensive tactics. The Patriot's backstops, William Ott and Jared Locke, were there for all 31 shots to give Red Land the shutout in an 6-0 win over the Bulldogs.
